Pihemanu
Pihemanu is a crescent-shaped shawlette knit from end to end. The shape is created by binding off stitches at the beginning of each row and adding them back in strategically across the row. The color changes (worked as intarsia) align with the increase lines and emphasize the changes in stitch direction forming a lovely swirl pattern. As the piece grows it will continue to curl around on itself, creating a shawlette that securely hugs the shoulders.
