ABOUT THE MAIN IMAGE
I had some fun placing the hat on a portrait of me painted by my father in 1971.

ABOUT THE YARN
At first glance, I thought Manos del Uruguay’s Ideal was an ordinary worsted weight yarn. Knitting with it showed me otherwise. Spun from 100% Uruguayan Polwarth wool, its bounce and softness are a real pleasure to knit and the yarn is very forgiving, somehow evening out bits of uneven tension. The finished product is very special.

CONSTRUCTION
Knit in the round, from the bottom up. cable
pattern and decreases are charted, not
written out. Features interesting cables and
no-turn bobbles (knots).
