Pine Cardigan
The Pine Cardigan has a slightly oversized fit and can be made with or without buttons. The modern granny stitch used in the main body creates a beautiful cut out pattern that makes the cardigan feel loose and airy; it’s cosy without being bulky or heavy. The little stacked triangle design the stitch pattern creates reminds me of a Scotch Pine forest and the colour I used for my first cardigan was Pine Green so there we have the name!
This pattern comes in 6 sizes; X-Small, Small, Medium/Large,
X/2X-Large, 3X/4X-Large, and 5X-Large.
Bust size/Finished Chest (underarm to underarm) measurements:
X-S 71-76 47 cm
S 81-86. 52 cm
M/L 91-101 60 cm
X/2XL 117-122 70 cm
3/4XL 137-142 80 cm
5XL 152-158 87 cm
The length of the cardigan is easily adjustable, simply complete as many repeats of the stacked modern granny stitch pattern as you like before separating for the upper body panels.
This pattern is suitable for advanced beginners, there is photo support for the special stitches and trickier parts of the pattern.
You will need:
