Pine Hat
DESCRIPTION 
The Pine Hat is a very simple beanie featuring the combination of a stockinette folded brim and ribbed crown.
Worked from the bottom up and in the round, this hat has a classic shape and visible seams where the crown decreases are worked.

Head circumference between: 
48-51 (53-56) 58-61 cm / 18.5-20 (20.5-22) 22.5-24 in 
Finished circumference: 
38.5 (43) 47.5 cm / 15 (17) 18.5 in
Yarn 
1 ball of Saga by Filcolana, 100% lambswool, 300 m / 328 yds to 50 g, colorway 101. 
1 skein of Dandelion Lace by Lily and Pine Fibre Arts, 74% Suri alpaca and 26 % silk, 300 m / 328 yds to 50 g, colorway Egg Hunt.
Yarns are held together throughout. 
Or 56 (68) 78 g, 168 (204) 234 m / 183 (223) 256 yds of sport weight yarn.
Needles: 
Ribbing needles: 2.75 mm / US 2 
Main needles: 3.25 mm / US 3 
Smaller circular such as 40 cm / 16 in and DPN’s for the crown. 
Alternatively, longer circular such as 81 cm / 32 in for magic loop.
Notions: 
Tapestry needle to weave in ends 
4 removable markers plus 1 unique removable marker (BORM).
Gauge: 
26 sts and 35 rnds to 10 cm / 4 inches in stockinette stitch, worked in the round using ribbing needles 
30 sts and 28 rnds to 10 cm / 4 inches in 1/1 rib, worked in the round using main needles.
Techniques: 
German short row, K2Tog, Knit, Long-tail cast-on (optional), Slipping stitches, Purl, SSK.
