Pine Point
This hat was designed for beginning colorwork knitters in a class I teach. There are no long color carries, and a slow striping yarn adds color changes without changing yarn, so the knitter can concentrate on keeping tension even. If you are an experienced colorwork knitter, it is a walk in the park.
The original yarn Liberty Wool went away with Classic Elite. (sob) I did another using Urth Uneek Worsted and Berroco Ultra Aplaca Naturals, which worked great!
Worsted weight yarn in two colors. MC: 150yds/137meters; CC: 100 yds/91meters.
(These amounts allow enough for a pom pom. Without a pompom, you could probably use only one skein of the MC in child’s size.)
As shown: 3 skeins of Liberty Wool from Classic Elite, 100% wool, 122 yards/122 meters per 50 gm ball, 2 skeins MC: 7875 Ash Gray; 1 skein CC: 7823 Deep Tropical Sea.
