Level of difficulty for this pattern is post-beginner/easy intermediate. It requires basic knowledge of sewing and crochet stitches: magic ring, chain, slip stitch, single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet, treble crochet and double treble crochet.
Pattern is written using US crochet terms.
You will need:
5 mm crochet hook, yarn needle, worsted/aran weight yarn: yellow for the pineapple (approx. 50 m/30 g)/ green for the leaves (approx. 21 m/15 g), stitch marker,
Toy stuffing (approximately 20-25 g)
If making a doorstop you also need pebbles (approximately 300g) and a small fabric bag or an odd clean sock.
Tension is not important for amigurumi, but mine is 2 rows = 2.5cm.
For this pineapple I used Deramores STUDIO aran yarn: pineapple and fern colour and the pineapple is about 20 cm tall (including leaves).
You can use different yarn and the hook required for the yarn but the size of the end product might vary.
