This is a pattern for a light weight wrap. It’s heavier than a shawl, but just the ideal weight for a spring or fall evening, or even if you’re sensitive to air conditioning in the summer. The wrap is comprised of a single, fairly intricate, lace stitch, and is the center of attention. This unique stitch combines twisted stitches with yo’s and elongated stitches, giving it an even more “open” and lacy feel. It is a tricky stitch to learn, however, once learned, it is quite fast to knit, especially since you are on a size #8 needle. There are two optional edgings included with the pattern: A regular crocheted edging, and a bead-crochet edging. (If you can do a single crochet, you can do a bead single crochet (and there are instructions on how to do it contained within the pattern.) The “material list” within the pattern contains all supplies necessary for both edgings.

The stitch is both charted and written out line by line.

Skill Level: Intermediate (assuming a knowledge of both lace knitting and twisting stitches)

The yarn used in the sample is Lorna’s Laces Shepherd Sport in the colorway, Fresh.

The wrap was expertly pattern tested by Jen Kelley who can be contacted at: thehulkstoy@ gmail.com

The pattern is for sale here on Ravelry and in my Etsy Shop in the Shawls/Stoles/Scarves section (https://www.etsy.com/shop/WearableArtEmporium?section_id=…)
