There is almost nothing I love as much as winter! A warm, dependable cowl can be a game changer for long walks in the snow & wind. This cheery colorwork cowl is started with a provisional cast-on then worked in-the-round to form a tube that is then grafted together, end to end. It is designed with enough length to double wrap which makes an incredibly cozy, super useful winter accessory! One more great thing? The stranded motifs are small & simple and don’t require catching floats!

Sizing:
One Size - The cowl measures 50” long/circumference and is 8.5” tall when laid flat.

Skills needed: Provisional Cast-on method (I used a crochet cast-on but it could be a different method), knitting in the round, following colorwork charts and Kitchener stitch grafting.

Materials (Yarn/Needles):
Yarn Hazel Knits Entice (70% Merino, 20% Cashmere, 10% Nylon; 400 yds 366 m/4 oz 113 g): Emerald City, 2 skeins; Nekkid, Shannypants, Silica and Woodsmoke, 1 skein each.

Yardage per color: Fingering weight
492 yds Emerald City (MC-dk green)
315 yds Nekkid (white)
151 yds Shannypants (bright Christmas green)
96 yds Silica (lt gray)
77 yds Woodsmoke (dk gray)

Needles:
US 2 (2.75 mm) circular needle, 16”/40 cm
NOTE: (I am a notoriously loose knitter so if you knit more on the tight side you might go up a couple of needle sizes to a 3 or 4 maybe)

Gauge:
28 sts and 32 rows = 4” in stockinette stitch
