If you’ve been wanting to try overlay mosaic crochet but weren’t sure where to start, this easy mosaic granny square is a great place to start.

My Pink Lemonade Mosaic Granny Square is an easy mosaic granny square crochet pattern designed to help you practice overlay mosaic crochet in a manageable size before committing to a full blanket.

This square is worked from the center out in joined rounds and uses simple stitches: single crochet, double crochet, and drop-down stitches to create a bold, graphic design with a beautiful pop of texture.

You can make it in two sizes (6” or 12”), making it ideal for sampler blankets, bags, scarves, pillows, or a full mosaic crochet blanket.

You can view the ad-supported free version on my blog, or purchase the ad-free, printable PDF here on Ravelry (also available on Etsy). The printable version includes a full-page colorwork chart as well as round-by-round photos so you can see what your piece should look like at the end of every round.
