Material Requirements
This whale can be made using any weight of yarn.
Adjust your hook size accordingly for the yarn that you choose.
Use the smallest hook size possible for the weight of yarn that you are using.
You need the stitches tight so the stuffing doesn’t show too much between stitches.
I recommend making a test motif to gauge tension.
The Blue and Grey whale was made using Drops Safran,
This yarn is a 4ply/ sports weight/ fine yarn.
Denim Blue approx 30g
Grey approx 5g
White approx 10g
Polyester toy stuffing
Eyes 12mm (plastic safety eyes or glass looped eyes).
Hook size: 2mm hook.
Size: Length 13cm x Width 11cm x Depth 9cm
Length 5in x Width 4.5in x Depth 3.5in
The Aqua and Pink Narwhal was made using Yarn Art Jeans.
This yarn is also 4ply/ sports weight/ fine yarn but feels thicker than the drops Safran.
