Simple garter stitch and stockinette stitch combine with sinuous short rows to give this asymmetrical triangle shawl its unique look. Eyelet rows add an easy accent.
Choose two complementary colors, or go bold!
The wedges are perfect to show off a beautiful variegated, speckled or gradient yarn.
The shawl is knit to a looser gauge to create a soft cushy fabric that drapes nicely.
It is worked from the narrow point to the wide end. Instructions are provided to add more wedges for a larger shawl if desired.

Meditative knitting, along with two gorgeous yarns, combine for a relaxing yet satisfying knitting experience.

Inspiration
Do you know how variegated yarn can look so pretty in the skein, and then all the beauty seems to be lost if you choose the wrong stitch pattern?

For example, a highly variegated yarn doesn’t look its best in garter stitch, I find. I think that stockinette stitch really lets the yarn shine.

So I designed this shawl so that the variegated yarn is displayed in Stockinette wedges, where the colors really pop.
The Garter Stitch boundaries of the wedges, are in a pretty solid colorway called Minty Unicorn -- but to me it looked just like pistachio ice cream.

Note: pattern uses both Sport Weight and DK weight yarns
