Gauge: 23 sts & 42 rows = 10cm / 4” over Chart pattern on 4mm needles after blocking.

Needles: 4mm / US 6 circular needle, 60cm / 24” length and needles suitable for working small circumferences in the round
Always use a needle size that will result in the correct gauge after blocking.

Notions: 1 stitch marker, 4 locking stitch markers, scrap yarn or stitch holders, tapestry needle

Notes: Pitaya is worked from the bottom up, in pieces. Although the front and back pieces are worked flat, a circular needle is recommended to accommodate the large number of stitches. The pieces are blocked and seamed, then stitches are picked up around the neckline to work a mitered garter stitch trim in the round. Finally, stitches are picked up around the armholes to work a continuous garter stitch trim in the round.
