Pixel
This might be my favorite blanket yet. It’s mesmerizing to watch it come together as you work with the light grey main color and a rainbow of colors for contrast. This is a cheery blanket that makes a
great accent in any room.
Pixel is a large blanket that takes a lot of wool to put together, but the result is a dense and very cozy blanket big enough for a queen-sized bed. This blanket also makes a great picnic or beach blanket. Of course, you could always make a smaller version by reducing the number of chained sts worked at the start. If you have a large amount of odds and ends of worsted weight wool, this is also an amazing stashbuster. My trunk o’ yarn has all kinds of room for new goodies now.
Yarn:
- MC: 15 balls of Rowan Pure Wool in Moonstone (200 m/ball) - or use approx. 3000m of any light grey worsted weight yarn. (Berroco Ultra Wool in Frost is a good option too.)
- CC: an equal amount of wool in a worsted weight and in a variety of colors.(Each row requires approximately 25 m of wool if you’re measuring wool from your stash.)
Hook:
5 mm hook (or size required to obtain gauge)
Gauge:
In pattern, 14 dc sts around post x 12 rows = 4”.
Measurements/Sizing:
75” x 60”
