This child’s dress is a recycled sweater project.
You start with with a long-sleeved woman’s pullover. The sleeves are removed and unraveled; then the top is unraveled from shoulders to underarm. Next, you pick up stitches from the remaining sweater for the skirt portion. With reserved unraveled yarn, you knit a new top.
