Plaid + Felt = Bag
This felted bag has a simple plaid pattern created by the horizontal stripes of a self-striping yarn and surface crochet worked after the bag is completed with a contrasting color. This is a great pattern to work your first plaid, or to try out applied crochet chain. A photo tutorial on the blog walks you through the steps of this technique.
An optional magnetic closure has been added for security.
