Plant Parent
With a mock cable panel inspired by some of my leafy children, these socks are perfect for an afternoon of spritzing air plants and tending to succulents. But they’re also the perfect pattern for a self striping yarn! The mock cable motif keeps the knit interesting, while still looking classy in striped yarn. This pattern includes both toe-up and top-down instructions so all sock knitters can unite and make some magic plant socks! The mock cable pattern is also provided in both charted and written instructions.

Notes:
The photos show a sock worked Top-Down with a contrasting heel flap.
The pattern is written for magic loop or Addi FlexiFlips. It can also be worked on on DPNs if that is preferred.
There are two PDFs included in the pattern, one for Top-Down Instructions, and one for Toe-Up Instructions.
The Instructions include a Wedge toe, which is a toe that works well for people whose biggest toe is their longest toe and all of their other toes get gradually shorter from there to form a point. This toe does make it so there is a Right and Left foot to your socks. If you don’t like this and prefer to wear your socks on whatever foot you want, you can work a standard Round Toe which is also included in the pattern.
Transparency Note
This pattern originally had a name inspired by a series of books about a boy wizard. The name has been changed because I cannot condone this author’s views. All pattern proceeds made with the original name have been donated to The Trans Justice Funding Project.
