Pattern Description from Cast On, February-April 2010: “Vertical pinstripes work to neutralize horizontal striping inherent in hand dyed yarns. Be sure to divide colors into lighter and darker groups so there is enough contrast for pinstripes to show. The sweater could be made with a single A and B, and would require a skein less in each group since there will be less waste. Slip stitches really compress the gauge, so make sure you are using a large enough needle.”
