A few knit-purl stitch patterns will naturally form pleats in the fabric. They’re great for scarves, especially if you choose a fiber like alpaca, very soft with lots of drape. But we love this cowl in just about any yarn, including Louet Euroflax -- the polar opposite of alpaca. The pleats will magically appear regardless of the yarn gauge or content.
