This large marine “near to lizard” (not a dinosaur) lived during the early to middle part of the Jurassic period to the end of the Cretaceous period. They used their needle-like teeth to catch fish and could reach sizes up to 50 feet in length. Within their paddle-like fins were wrist and finger bones, leftover skeletal evidence from when they evolved from land lizards to ocean dwellers.
