Plumped Up Harlow
DETAILS
When my pal Kate mentioned I was lacking a bulky weight Harlow - there was only one appropriate response: Challenge accepted! Hello, new go-to hat pattern that I can knit up for quick gifts (or for myself)! This is the pattern I know I can depend on for stash-busting, wardrobe-enhancing, or a quick gift for someone I love! Ideal for beginner brioche enthusiasts, this hat is knit from the bottom up in two color brioche and is totally reversible! And did I mention the spruced up crown shaping that sets it apart from it’s lighter-weight cousins?? P.S. Find the matching cowl here!

YARN REQUIREMENTS
These are just approximations. Total yarn usage will depend on the yarn you use (fiber content, ply, etc.), your personal gauge, and any modifications you may make.
Bulky weight wool yarn in 2 colors - approx. 50 (65, 75) g/56 (73, 84) yds/51 (66, 77) m of each color
SUGGESTED YARN
For this hat I chose the ultimate squishy, color-changing yarn that is Spincycle Yarns Plump. Huge on squish, and a joy to knit with as the colors melt from one shade to the next.
Spincycle Yarns Plump 100% SW American Wool (approx. 90 g/100 yds/92 m)
MC - 1 skein Deep Bump (minty blues)
CC - 1 skein Ghost Ranch (Navy, pink, yellow multi)
SUGGESTED NEEDLES
Brim Needle: Size US 8/5 mm - 16”/40 cm circular (or Magic Loop/DPN’s for Size 1)
Main Needle: Size US 9/5.5 mm - 16”/40 cm circular and/or preferred needles for small circumference knitting for Size 1 and crown shaping for all sizes.
(Use the needle size you need to achieve gauge, go down one size for brim.)
