Plunge
Adventure meets seamless knitting in Plunge. Who’d ever guess this pattern would have so much personality. What you knit belies what will be… like a Plunge in the deep end, exhale as you rise and drop the drops to reveal the ending surprise, letting cool breezes flow through. With two styles of drop cables (A and B), two neck styles (crew and scoop), two sleeves (short and sleeveless) and two lengths (crop and full) you’re sure to find a combination to suit your summer wardrobe needs.
The tech edited and test knit pattern is fully written with the repeats charted. A blocking schematic, custom drops calculator, and construction photo tutorial round out the extras.

Special Notes:
• Swatch and Watch It: the drop stitches make this pattern grow! A swatch, that is washed and blocked, is highly recommended as the drops cause growth in both width and length.
• Construct It: Plunge begins with a blind stitch shoulder seam (see Seam It below), then is worked top down starting with the back. On the front, Right Shoulder is worked first, followed by Left Shoulder. After joining in the round, work the piece seamlessly to the end.
• Seam It: the pattern features Lindsay’s Disappearing Cast On to make this a seamless garment. If you prefer to work seams, cast on the back and front separately. Seam shoulders before dropping stitches.
• Mix and Match It: the cropped version features a crew neckline and the full length features a scoop neckline. These two necklines are written such to enable you to pick the neckline you prefer.
• Customize As You Drop It: pick which of the cable sections you’d like to drop for a custom look. Note: this will affect the final width of the garment. To calculate how much, check out the custom calculator on page 58.
- Color It: as with Drive Snorkeling, if your yarn has a gradient with a dark and a light end, make sure to cast on at the light end at the color change so the transition flows flawlessly.
