This pattern is featured in the book Knit a Little by Marie Greene.

There’s just something about a grandpa sweater – especially on a child – that puts a smile on my face. With tweed yarn, grown-up buttons and sophisticated details, I imagine this cardigan on a very tiny person with a pocket watch (and they’re slightly grumpy because they woke up from their nap too early). You can see it, too, can’t you?

Originally inspired as a nod to a nautical pea coat, Pocket Watch can double as a jacket during reasonable weather.

For the grown-up version, see First Watch here: https://www.oliveknits.com/product/first-watch/
