This cardigan is worked seamlessly top down and completely double stranded (1 strand Como and 1 strand Cusi) and starts with a cable along back neckline. This cable is worked in two parts, from the center outwards. Along one side of this back neckline border, the two short sides of which will continue as front panels to the bottom of the cardigan, sts will be picked up to form back part, which will be worked back and forth up to the end of the armholes. Then the two shoulders are worked by picking up sts along the other side of the neckline border and the two front parts are formed and worked up to the end of the armholes. Back and front parts are joined together at the underarms and the cardigan is worked back and forth in one piece (seamlessly) up to and including the bottom border.

GAUGE

• 19 sts and 24 rows, worked double stranded (1 strand Cusi + 1 strand Como) using needles size 4.5 mm (US 7) in main pattern = 10 x 10 cm / 4“ square

Die oversized geschnittene Jacke wird nahtlos und durchgehend doppelfädig (je ein Faden Como und Cusi) von oben nach unten gestrickt und mit der Zopfmuster-Blende am rückwärtigen Halsausschnitt begonnen. Diese wird von der Mitte aus nacheinander zu beiden Seiten gearbeitet. Aus dem Seitenrand der Halsausschnittblende, die als Seitenblende an beiden Vorderteilen bis zum unteren Rand fortläuft, werden anschließend die Maschen für das Rückenteil herausgestrickt und dieses bis zum unteren Ende des Armausschnitts gearbeitet. Danach werden aus dessen Schulterschrägen die Maschen für die beiden Vorderteile herausgestrickt. Unterhalb der Armausschnitte werden schließlich Rücken- und Vorderteile verbunden und die Jacke nahtlos bis zum unteren Rand fortgesetzt.
