A lacy star granny square design inspired by celestial objects that twinkle in the night sky.

It has an intricate, delicate texture created by a mix of puff stitches in the middle, and front post clusters that overlap to create the 8-point star shape on top of a lacy background.

This is an advanced pattern that requires concentration, as it includes only written instructions and a photo tutorial.

Works well in fluffy, round yarns, but also in cotton. Can be made in any gauge and the final size will vary depending on the yarn weight you use.

One square takes about 6 g of size 2 yarn (400 meters per 100 g), 8.5 g of size 3 yarn (300 meters per 100 g) and 14 g of size 4 yarn (160 meters per 100 g). That is about 25 meters for each yarn weight.

Finished sizes with these yarns are 12 by 12 cm, 13 by 13 cm and 14 by 14 cm, respectively.

The free blog pattern is offered in US terms only.
