Abbreviations:
MR = magic ring
ch = chain

dec = decrease (sc 2 together)
sl st = slip stitch
BLO = back loop only
(..) = repeat the space in brackets the given number of times
.. = total number of stitches
Notes:
Amigurumi is usually stitched in the round and a yarn with no stretch is best, I prefer cotton.
When changing colour, yarn over the new colour and pull through on the stitch prior.
I used Lincraft Cotton Yarn 8ply for the finished photos but for the photos throughout I used the following yarns which are easier to see than the black cotton:
o WHITE = Scheepjes Stonewashed in col. 801 Moon Stone
o BLACK = Scheepjes Stonewashed in col. 803 Black Onyx
o PINK = Scheepjes Stonewashed in col. 835 Rhodochrosite
I crochet loosely and use a 2.75-3.00mm hook with 8ply yarn. Generally, the hook you use for amigurumi will be a smaller than for other crochet as you want the stitches tight.
The yarn thickness and hook size used will affect the size of the finished item. My Polo the Panda is approximately 21cm tall (9 ¼ inches).
I have used embroidered the eyes for this pattern. Please ensure that there are no loose fittings.
