Half Brioche, also known as Fisherman’s rib, is bouncy, warm and has two distinct sides. Starting with the circular Provisional Tubular cast on, this hat is completely reversible. The pattern is written out and uses the “sl1yo” (sl 1 st with a yo) and “brk” (brioche knit, k1 with yo together) techniques. I know you can achieve the same by “k1b” (k1 below). I just like yo better, that’s all. Make sure the ribbing is nice and snug, because the Half Brioche likes to stretch. If you are running short on yardage, just shorten the body by a few rows, so you have enough to finish the crown.
