A ladies’ Fair Isle style vest in five sizes using eight colors of fingering weight Jamieson’s of Shetland “Spindrift” Shetland wool yarn, circularly knit in traditional style using steeks, with no reinforcement. This method demands traditional 100% wool yarn, preferably Shetland wool. Superwash wools and non-wool yarns are not suitable for this design, as written.

Spindrift yarn packs, in the colors shown, are available through the designer’s website here.link text

Needle suggestions:
If you knit loosely, I’d suggest US #1 1/2 / 2.50mm for Ribbing and US #2 1/2 / 3.00mm for the Body.
If you knit tightly, I’d suggest US #2 / 2.75mm for the Ribbing and US #3 / 3.25 for the Body.
As always, these are only suggestions - save time by taking the time to check your gauge!
