NOTE: This pattern currently is unavailable. I will be working it up for self-publication in 2016. Thanks!

Important note: This pattern contains instructions for both man’s and woman’s versions, becuase men and women have different proportions! Full calculations and schematics are included for both versions. The woman’s version has waist shaping through bust darts.

Marrying metal and wool, tools and needles, the Possum Belly Hobo jacket is just the excuse you need to purchase a mess of metal buttons, preferably old and heavy ones, rivets and washers, and a rivet gun. This fitted jacket pattern includes separate instructions for man’s and woman’s versions to ensure a flattering silhouette. If you are hesitant to start shopping for your knitting projects in the hardware store, you can embellish your jacket with buttons, snaps, or beads in place of the rivets.

Riveting is fun, and easy, too!

The term ‘possum belly’ refers to riding on the top of a train, where one must lie flat on one’s stomach to avoid being blown off.
