Possum Lace Shawl
The compelling thing about this piece is that while it looks intensely sophisticated, it’s actually very repetitive and not very difficult to make. The lace pattern is clearly charted, not written out at all, and is not extravagantly high (22 rows). There is lace action on both sides, though, so you do have to pay a little attention. This kind of small overall repeat produces a wrap of great beauty, in a serene and confident fashion. You do want to keep the colourway fairly muted; the glory of the small lace motifs will be lost with an emphatic one. No specific gauge is given-- just block firmly.
