Note: a similar design in a larger size (to fit chest 38-40 in/96.5-101.5 cm) is in the book as a separate pattern.

Yardage: The pattern call for 16 oz of yarn; however this includes 1 oz for each of the accent colours and 3 oz each for the charcoal and dark natural base colours, so it is unlikely that the entirety of the yarn required in the pattern would be used up.

Yardage given is based on Jamieson and Smith Shetland 2-ply Jumper Weight (knits as fingering weight) at 161 yards per ounce. Yardage given is for 9-16 ounces (1500-2600 yards), with the smaller amount assuming the use of yarn scraps or a single accent colour.

The yarn in the pattern (ANI Real Shetland Wool) is described as ’2 ply, knits to 3-ply pattern’.
