This is a fun and very versatile pattern that can be used for many things depending on your yarn choice. It’s a great little soap sack or for holding a deck of cards. And with the instructions for both bottom up or top down, it’s a great way to learn some of the skills needed for other projects without being too small and fiddly.

Skill Level: Advanced Beginner.
Finished Size: Approximately 4”x 6” (10 cm x 15 cm).
Yarn: 43 yards or 25g of Worsted Weight Cotton Yarn. Sample shown in Lily Sugar’n Cream, 120 yds (110m) in 70 g (2.47 oz).
Needles: US6 (4.0mm) circular needles, 32” or greater for magic loop, or double-pointed needles. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain gauge.
Notions: Removable stitch marker, darning needle, crochet hook.
Gauge: 16 stitches x 28 rounds in 4” x 4” (10 cm x 10 cm) in pattern.
