Pour La Neige
After spending most of my life in Southern California I moved to Quebec. Winter was something I had never really experienced for more than a week at a time. Living in it was something else but I learned how to adapt and hand knits were my best friends.
I also came to realize I was “infinity scarf challenged”. I love infinity scarves, the look of the loops and layers of fabric appealed to me but putting them on and off took me forever as I wanted it to look just so, I wanted the right side to show, looping it the right way bugged me, so lots of fussing with it ensued. I love a cowl as you just slipped it over your head and were done but it just didn’t have that loopy look I wanted. So I came up with Pour La Neige. It is a cowl with the look of an infinity scarf. Loops of fabric that just slips over your head so you can come and go as you please and multiple layers of fabric help keep the winter cold out.
Knit it in one color or many, it has endless possibilities for customizing it to make it your own.
It is knit as one piece and has minimal finishing. The 2 loop version can be knit with one 125 gram skein and the 3 loop version uses 2 - 100 gram skeins. If you can knit, purl, place a lifeline, do a provisional cast on and 3 needle bind off you can make this piece.
