Power Lines
Power Lines is designed to highlight those small leftovers or oddballs of gorgeous fingering weight yarn you may have around.
One of the joys and mysteries of striping is how incredibly different a color looks based on what is beside it. This long, asymmetrical shawl uses six or seven different yarns to play with that phenomenon. In each section of the shawl, a different set of two colors is striped together.
Power Lines is an elongated triangle that tends to ripple a bit like riffles in a stream. The picot bind-off adds to the effect.

YARN & COLOR NOTES
The fun and creative challenge of knitting this shawl lies in choosing colors and yarns that will complement one another in different ways depending on how they are combined.
Here are the basic requirements and examples of what I used in the sample shown. The yardage given is on the high side, to be safe. The color sequence can always be changed in any way you like, to accommodate your yarn and make your shawl uniquely yours.
Power Lines can be made in any combination of colors. These notes reflect what was used in the sample.
