We all need that quick to knit hat for a friend or loved one. The hat that almost knits itself as it is so simple. This is that hat.

Knit with a heavy aran (the sample was knit with one ball of Noro Kuryon), the hat takes less than 100 m to make – up to the large size – the extra-large size requires 120 m.

Stripe up some leftover Aran weight yarns or double up on a DK and make up a few of these hats for next Winter!

Materials: 80 to 120 yds aran weight yarn, 4.5mm US #7 16-inch circs, 5.0mm US #8 16-inch circs and dpns, markers and regular notions.
