Pretty Mindless
Find some pretty yarn in any weight and choose a needle 1-2 sizes larger than your yarn recommends. This recipe can be scaled up or down for any gauge- no need to do a swatch! 50-200g of yarn recommended.
This simple asymmetric shawl is easy to knit and shows off interesting yarn well. Great for handspun or gradient yarns! Its name comes from the combination of pretty yarn and a pretty shawl made with nearly mindless, meditative knitting.
Two versions of the shawl are included in the pattern: a single color version in stockinette (sample knit with a yellow to blue gradient) and a striped version in garter stitch (sample knit with blue & green). Both involve the central cable and the pattern discusses how to handle the stitch marker and increases around the central stitch. Don’t worry - it’s still pretty mindless!
I would love to see what you all make, so please tag instagram posts with #swisherknits and/or #prettymindless
