An asymmetrical Tunisian crochet shawl made holding suri alpaca yarn double for an essential winter accessory

Suri yarn was always intimidating to me because it is not readily available in big box stores. But, knowing how soft suri yarn can be, this was a must make for midwest winter.

Holding the yarn double, this pattern calls for a 9mm hook, which makes it very quick to work up. I tried many stitches but the Tunisian Simple stitch was the easiest stitch to use with Suri.

This shawl will be a light accessory that will be PRETTY SOFT and warm. I used three skeins of Suri to create this shawl and I definitely will be making a shawl like this again.

Oh by the way, my daughter named this shawl. I love it. And this makes Suri yarn much more accessible to try again!
