Primavera Shawlette
I love small shawls and shawlettes. They are so easy to knit, yet they are a spectacular accessory.
Being a gardener I am always inspired by flowers and leaves in my garden. This design is inspired by spring and its bright green leaves. I looked at the branches as they are draped with the new greenery and I wanted to drape those leaves around my neck, so I got my needles and yarn out. The Madelinetosh yarn in the Seaglass color was the answer to my fantasy. The circle shape is achieved by working short rows and turning the work without wrapping. Placement of the markers at the beginning of work makes it a very easy task. The large needles and a beautiful yarn make Primavera a project that grows fast and hard to put down.
The lace part is charted and the body part is written row-by-row.
MATERIALS
The sample shown was knitted in Madelinetosh tosh sock yarn. The yarn may be substituted with any 4-ply fingering weight yarn. Substituting yarns may result in a different finished size and may also affect yardage required. For best results use a natural fiber.
