NOTES

1. This is a sized pattern. Numbers are indicated for sizes Baby, (Toddler, Child, Adult) by where they fall in the parenthetical series. For instance, “dc in 8 (9, 10, 11)“ means to crochet in the next 8 sts for the baby size, 9 for toddler, and so on. Highlight the numbers that pertain to your size and work only those instructions.
2. Hat is worked from the top down in joined rounds. Each size has a different number of rounds in the crown (top) and the sides. Work as directed. Be careful not to add extra sts when joining rounds.
3. Eye is crocheted in 4 parts. Assemble iris, white and eye front before attaching to eye back.
4. Crown fabric is worked side to side so you can measure against head size as you go. Be sure to end up with a multiple of 10 sts on the first round of sc under Crown Points and you can easily adjust the size of the crown.
