Protect Those Pans
Do you have special pans that you don’t want to have scratched? Perfectly seasoned cast iron or a beautiful non-stick surface?
I was using my hot pads in my pans but then I didn’t have hot pads when I needed them! So here is my solution to that dilemma.
These quick to make pan protectors will keep your pans (and lids) from being scratched while they are stored or can be used as hot pads for counter or table. They can also be used to protect glassware, stoneware or china dishware when you need to pack them for a special event or move.
Knit in garter stitch with simple increases and decreases. They are so quick to make, that you can knit a set for yourself and then knit sets as gifts for everyone on your list.
Newly added appendix with sizes to fit up to 26” pans.
Yarn: Worsted, heavy worsted or aran. 80 (100, 120) yds, 73 (92, 110) meters.
Note: Acrylic will work if you are just using these to store cool pans and lids. Cotton or wool are better if you will be putting anything hot on them.
