Protia is one of my favorite flowers.
Brioche stitch and Protia have something in common I feel….

The Brioche flower like designs are created with various Brioche decreasing sts. I recommend that you are familiar with basic Brioche Knit and Purl before working on this project. This other Brioche hat is a perfect one to practice basic Brioche sts.

This is a very satisfying project!!

Yarn
The yardage above is a total of MC and CC.

Cream x Pink is knitted with Malabrigo “Rios”.
I used MC (cream) - 75 yards, CC (pink) - 60 yards.

Teal x White is knitted with “Tosh vintage”.

Needles
US 5, 16” long circular needles and DPNs.
Start to finish, you need only one size of needles.
Please note that you use 1~2 size smaller needle for Brioche, so you are not using the yarn normally knit with US 5.
When you start decreasing sts, you need to use either DPNs or your preferable method.
Since there are many YOs, you need to be careful when using DPNs.

Malabrigo “Rios” made perfect adult women’s size hat. (20” circumference)
If you would like to make a bigger size, please use Aran weight yarn.
