This design was done with my stash and has been tried with various yarns—wool, acrylic, and cotton blends. The project is definitely a “stash buster” and a great way to use up small amounts and various types of yarn. It works perfectly with bulky weight and doubled DK, but you can experiment to get any look you want. I found combining two strands of different colors of DK produces an interesting tweedy scarf. Be creative and see what you come up with! It takes approximately 100–130 yards of bulky for a scarf 60–72” long. A plus for this design is that it knits up very fast, is easy, and takes almost no finishing.
