The US 13/9 mm circular needles are used for all sizes except the adult, which uses the US 15/10 mm. The pattern also used US 11/8 mm double pointed needles (for the stem) and the curlicue, drawstring, and leaves use US 9/5.5 mm needles and US 6/4 mm needles.
