My Pumpkin Gourdtet (a play on the word “quartet”) grew out of my love of knitting in the round. I wanted to create something festive and fun for the fall season, and what better way than with pumpkins? The pattern features four different pumpkin designs that can be knit separately or together in a set.

Each little pumpkin is worked in the round with 9” circular needles (feel free to use whatever needles you prefer) in a tube (the last round is slightly decreased). The pumpkins are stuffed, and the openings are cinched tight, with the ends being woven through the middle to create shape.

My pumpkins are on the small side - around 4” tall. Feel free to use any yarn and needle to make your pumpkins the perfect size for your home!
