Description from pattern:
These jolly pumpkins began as one plain pumpkin. And as always happens when I start on anything new, one turned into two, with hats and other accessories. Then another idea, think pumpkin pies, or why not ‘pumpkins in pies’? Finally I added surprises. Lift out the pumpkins and there are paper cut-outs, one a ghost, the other a bat.
The basic pumpkin is a straight knitted piece of garter stitch and all the items are easy to make. Knit them as year-on-year Halloween decorations and they may become family heirlooms!

Yarn requirements: Oddments of orange, black, blue, green, yellow, white, brown, fawn, dark brown, light yellow and light grey.

Stuffing: Only a small amount is required

Cardboard and coloured paper: For the pie dish base.

Black sewing thread: For the pumpkin’s mouth stitches, the spider’s legs and the suspended thread

A long darning needle.

Glue-on wiggle eyes: Two 10mm diameter for each pumpkin. Two 4mm or 5mm diameter for all the other items.
