Puppet-Thumb Mittens-Thumbelina and Laddie
This vintage pattern calls for 1-1 oz. ball of main colour, and small amounts of red, white, and black yarn to create the puppets.
The mittens are knit with 4 DPNs, including the thumbs. The thumbs are knit in a different colour from the hand of the mitt to create the body of the puppet. The two different heads-Thumbelina (girl) and Laddie (boy) are crocheted in the round, stuffed, and embellished. The heads are then sewn to the tip of the thumbs.
