Pattern Description from Cast On, February-April 2010: “This asymmetrical cardigan has an easy single crochet edge with button loops worked as the edge is completed. That allows for you to use as many or as few buttons on your cardigan as you want. Just mark the spot for the top button as per the instructions and then decide how many buttons you would like. measure the length of the front, from the top button to the placement of the bottom button, about 1½ inches from the cast on edge, and divide by the number of buttons you would like to use. Make a crocheted loop (as detailed in this pattern) oposite each button.”

Designer Note: To make this garment into a pullover, work Front the same as Back to armhole, decide where you would like the flap to start and work the yoke of the garment with two balls of yarn, continuing without any shaping (except for the split) until the Front measures the same as the Back to the shoulders. Bind off each shoulder.
