The pattern is written in English US terminology
This crochet pouch pattern is in multiples of 5 + 3 chains. If you want a wider bag, just make a chain in multiples of 5 until you’re happy with the width, and then add three more chains at the end.
If you want to make it longer, just add more rows. Make sure to end with an even number of rows. Keep in mind that the rows you make are including the body and closure /flap of the pouch.
