This grassroots movement, as it takes shape, is a reflection of our democracy in action. And it gives us hope. The sock can be knit stranded, per chart, or all pink, if the knitter desires. I recommend using a machine washable wool, like Knit Picks Stroll Sock yarn or Cascade Heritage Solids. Make your pussy faces black, or white, or a paler shade of pink. The sole of the sock is stranded, so you achieve double the warmth of a single strand of yarn without adding bulk. The pattern also contains instructions for an optional secret pocket for securing a key or cash, and when the top cuff is folded down, the pocket opening is completely hidden.
