Q-Jacque
Something around my neck makes me feel comfortable and secured. And I am so pleasantly surprised how such a small thing keeps me warm.
The shawlette is so versatile.
It can accessorise your clothes in a variety of ways of wrapping. Your simple T-shirt and jeans style will suddenly look eye-catching and fashionable. And you can always just shove it in your purse and use it anytime you want.
When I was working on this shawlette, it kept reminding me of a peacock.
Peacock = Ku-ja-ku in Japanese = Q-Jacque GET IT?!
The shawlette is worked from side to side with twisted stitch cables and the Garter stitch.
Yarn: Sport/5 ply.
Gauge: 22 sts and 34 rows in 4”/10cm in Garter stitch
While the gauge is not crucial, the different gauge will affect the size of the shawlette and the yardage of yarn used.
Yardage: 330 yards
Size: 56.2”/142cm from side to side, 8.5”/21.6cm at the deepest.
The size is easily adjustable, it can be shorter, longer, wider or
narrower, in any way you would like.
Materials: US #6(4.0mm), stitch marker
