Supplies:
approximately 50(100, 200, 300) gms of any weight yarn between fingering and aran weight for doll(child, small adult, large adult) sized poncho. Keep in mind that a longer poncho will take more yarn.
Stitchmarkers
needles for working in the round
Gauge:
Gauge is not critical to this project. Select a needle size that will give you your desired gauge. I prefer to knit with a needle size about 1 size larger than the ball band recommendation in order to get a shawl-like drape.
Pattern is begun by working flat, then joined in the round and worked to desired length.
